Technical consulting for manufacturing and process integration

Engineering that works in practice.

I help mid-sized industrial companies assess existing processes, select suitable technology and put decisions into practice.

  • Assess technical suitability and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop components and select suitable manufacturing processes
  • Decide what to do in-house, what to outsource and how to implement it

In-house production, a partner solution, a targeted retrofit or keeping the existing process: deciding against a new purchase can also be the outcome.

How I work

My approach

  1. Assess

  2. Check the component

    • Actual component
    • Feasibility
    • Practical test
  3. Implement

    • System selection
    • Integration
    • Acceptance
  4. Transfer knowledge

    • Training
    • Independent operation

What stays in-house, and what goes to partners?

  • Frequency of use
  • Response time
  • Team and expertise
  • Investment
  • Operating costs
  • Data ownership
  • Quality
  • Process stability
  • Available partners
  • Scaling
  • In-house

    • Scanning, printing or both
  • Shared

    • Data capture in-house, manufacturing outsourced
    • Hybrid combination
  • External

    • Scanning and/or printing through partners
  • No new purchase

    • Keep conventional processes or postpone investment

Why I can assess both approaches

Calculated values are the starting point. The machine shows whether they hold up.

  • I check the actual component before making a recommendation
  • No blanket yes or no without a reason
  • System integrator: combining my own measurements, existing technology and specialist partners into a working process chain
  1. 2012 to 2014Apprenticeship in precision mechanics
  2. 2015 to 2017Precision equipment for research
  3. 2017 to 2020Prototype and fixture construction for airbag development
  4. 2020 to 2022Further education as a mechanical engineering technician
  5. 2023 to 2025Aviation: tool engineering and introduction of a 3D printing system
  6. Since September 2023Self-employed with 321mann
About me

Getting started

On-site Process Check at a fixed price

You may need a scanner, a printer, both or neither.

  • What do you need the component for, and how often?
  • Who manages the process in your company?
  • Is the technology cost-effective once familiarisation and training are included?

Compact

  • ½ day on site
  • ½ day evaluation
  • Short report with a recommendation
  • Review of data flow

Results include a make-or-buy recommendation.

Standard

  • 1 day on site
  • 1 day evaluation
  • Trial scan and measurement of 1 component
  • Report and results meeting
  • Review of data flow

Results include a make-or-buy recommendation.

Beforehand, we clarify the task, an example component, available data and the decision you need. The outcome is a recommendation with assumptions and required actions. Exact services and price are set out in the offer.

The trial scan serves to assess the agreed example component. Further measurement evidence and approvals are agreed separately.
