CNC milling machine: modernisation and CAD/CAM

I modernised my own CNC milling machine. This includes CAD/CAM, toolpath planning at the workstation and practical machining.

CAD/CAM and workstation

CAD/CAM means that toolpaths are planned on the computer from the CAD model and then followed by the machine. Planning and machining are handled by one person here.

The laptop forms a workstation directly at the machine so that I can adjust toolpaths and start machining without a break in the data workflow.

Machining at the machine

After planning, machining takes place on my own CNC milling machine. This allows me to check variants directly on the component.
